Warmth & temperature
How warm is it, exactly?
Eiderdown traps still air rather than adding bulk, so it reaches a given warmth at roughly a third the weight of goose down. Match the weight to your bedroom temperature at night, not to the season outside.
If you sleep hot, or share a bed with someone who does, step down one weight.

Summer weight all year in a heated flat. Sleeps cool without feeling thin.

For old houses, open windows and anyone who wakes up cold at four in the morning.
Three weights. One made for you.
Eiderdown is exceptionally insulating without relying on bulk. The right fill weight depends less on the calendar and more on the way you sleep.
Fill weights are grams of pure eiderdown per duvet.
Nothing about it is rushed.
The process begins long before the duvet is made. Wild eider ducks line their nests with down during nesting season. Only after the birds and ducklings have left is the down gathered by hand. It is then carefully cleaned, prepared, and placed inside the duvet chamber by chamber. Finally, one artisan completes the piece.

A shell as considered as the fill
The fill matters. So does everything holding it in place. Your eiderdown sits inside a tightly woven organic cotton sateen shell designed to be breathable, soft, and down-proof. The seams are double-stitched. The corners are reinforced. The construction is designed to keep the fill where it belongs, year after year.
The rarest down on earth
Nothing is taken from the bird.
Each spring, a female eider duck lines her nest with the soft down she naturally sheds from her breast. After she and her ducklings have returned to the sea, the empty nest is carefully gathered by hand.
The fibers of eiderdown possess a remarkable ability to cling and interlock, creating a delicate web that traps warm air while remaining almost weightless. No farming. No plucking. No industrial substitute.
Only a small quantity is gathered in Iceland each year—making every handful as rare as the landscape it comes from.
